So I haven't written in my journal for a really really really really long time...Actually this is my first entry of the year, and it's March 5th! Ok so I am not as much into this journal thing as I used to be, but then I was reading some of my old entries and was like aww I remember when that happened, so ya I decided to update. So what's new...basically school. The new semester started January 31, and I was taking 20 units, but dropped one class (LOL that was a funny story in itself...ok...) so now I have 17. I have to wake up at 5am three days a week so I am kind of sleep deprived, and hence a little more "irritable" than usual lol. Wait, I can be nice sometimes right???

So 2 weeks until Spring Break, I am so excited, but still have so much to do before! Like this week Monday we have to turn in our Gateway Case and Challenge the Presenting Team for World Wide Investments, I have a BUS 105 midterm lol Needles, and then I have an Art midterm next Monday. No assignments (besides usual reading) in BLAW, our midterm is on April Fools lol. Plus we have another case due the last day of class before break in Gateway. Of course I am working in interships too but there is not much going on right now.

In Shadows Laura Michelle and I are starting the Troop Enhancement Program, which begins next Sunday, we are so glad we have enough people to do it. It will be lots and lots of fun. Also our troop show is next Tuesday, March 15.

I am so tired, I am going to go to bed in a little bit (and look how early it is...I used to be able to stay up until 1 or 2 easily. Also I don't work at the antique store anymore, but I had to promise that I would go an visit them like once a week so ya.

I think I will do some HW reading now...TTYL and hey I finally updated.

OMG OMG OMG! I found out the saddest saddest thing today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot even believe it. My baby Spur is gone. I haven't ridden him in the longest time but he is still my little Spur. Sweet Spur. The ideal horse. OMFG. I just cannot believe it.

Ok guess what I am typing on right now? Yes, of course a key board lol...but it's also my LAPTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I am so excited! It is so kewl!!!

So school is finally over....and one of my grades is actually posted! Who knows about the other 4. But this was the one I needed to know about the most...my BLAW grade. I was so worried. I had like a low B and he grades +/- errr. And the final was really really really really hard. But somehow I got a B!!!! So kewl!

I am working at school now. Not too many hours until after the holidays, we need a break lol. But we set up our office yesterday. I was really gross and messy and scarry but now it looks nice! I am having fun working w/Amee and Kristen. And also we get to mooch supplies from everyone and now they are getting annoyed lol.

I am supposed to get together with Vicki tomorrow, I hope we do because that will be really fun. She is sooooo busy, working for AMR.

I just talked to Lucy about JAT. I told her I didn't know what the plans were, and that I am not sure if I can do it. She was like well we will say you are doing it and see how it goes with your schedule lol. Aww that made me feel appreciated! ;)

As for my cute boi, I haven't seen him since Sunday. He is such a work-a-holic lol. Well I guess that is good. Maybe we will hang out tomorrow or Fri! (Hopefully)

So I am only working at Vital Signs until the end of the year (which is like 2 more weeks, but since I only work there 1 day a week I will be there this Friday and I guess next Thurs and the following Thurs (because holidays on fridays). I am so releived!

Finally Updating....Finally....Finally

Ok so my last entry was forever and a day ago. I apologize to whomever I kept from reading about my life lol (which we know is a lot right? lol jk) actually I think journals are not as popular anymore. Nevertheless, I will update mine finally lol. So finals are this week. I only have two thank goodness! Business Law (this one is multiple choice so hopefully it won't be too bad) and Consumer Rights. I still have to go to school for 4 days tho, we are proctering another finance test for our professor then have to listen to the remainder of the book report presentations. Collette and I are going to car pool on Monday. Then I have to go Thursday, although I do not have to take my art final, we are meeting about the internship program. Which I don't think I have mentioned in my journal yet.

Well, over the break and probably into next year (I don't know how long tho) we are going to be setting up an internship program for our college of Business & Economics. I am doing this with Dr. Walker and another girl I don't know that well but she is nice.

I am teaching remounts tomorrow, it is kind of scarry I always get them really messed up when I teach it lol...well at least I don't have to go to the dog show! Plus I am studying tomorrow for my 2 finals.

Ok so there is some other news too ;) this I like the best lol. It involves the nicest, hottest, sweetest guy lol. Not going to give too many details lol but ya ;) I will update more on him later ;) ;)

BTW as of today I have finished all of my 10 billion papers due this semester yay!

Troop went really well tonite! Yes we finally got to ride yayness! And it was marissa's bday she brought her new little cell phone, so cute! Cept I didnt get the #!!! I have to take an online test tomorrow, wish me luck. I was just looking over what I have due for the end of the semester omg!!! I didnt realize all of this stuff is due!!! FCS consumer comparison project, finance book report, art experience paper, seminar class paper! And they are all due between Nov 15-30!!! Yikes I better get to work. Got a B- on my second blaw test so I am kind of dissapointed, he grades really hard tho and the test was hard. All essay etc... But I am glad that I didnt get a c!!! Ok well the final in that class is all m/c so hopefully I will do well on it!
Ok I am tired, waiting for Ohio to report so i can see who won! lol.

Haven't updated in a while! Officers mtg tonite...drew eq horses!! Hehe I am so terrible at drawing them, everyone will love me!! Ok well I did draw a couple of good horses, but hmm not all ;) I got voody for myself tho (lol and 2 other classes lucky Cpls and Sgts in my troop). Anyway I wanted to ride him so its so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway halloween party tomorrow. I am going to be Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way. Lol, everyone have a fun, safe and fattening halloween!

This weekend was long, but at the same time really short. Jat had their last performance on Saturday, and it was not good. You would think the last one would be the best, but it wasn't. And it wasn't like oh just a few people messed up, thats not it at all. It seemed to me, watching from the outside, that everyone was riding for themself, not for the team. Plus it was really unorganized there, and as major said lol everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Carinafied's saddle/bridle lol, Melissa's boots, Siobhan's flag...bloopers lol. Anyway that was pretty much Saturday. Although later there was Ben Crosby and "p" ness lol. And the pizza place calling my house # asking if I ordered a pizza...umm no. lol.

So today I woke up at 3. 3 AM. Ok I am lying just a little, I hit the snooze until 3:15am. So then got ready to meet Collette and Cherilyn at COC and it was raining. So I get there and we leave and I put my keys in my purse. We get to Cedars at like 5:15 but then we actually don't start doing parking for the Aids walk until 6:50. What a waste of time, I could have slept in for another like hour and a half!!! It was down in Hollywood, I've been there twice now lol. I am beginning to know where everything is! But still don't know the difference between North, South, East, West lol.

Ok so we get back to COC around 9:20 because I have to be to work by 9:45 to open the store. We are getting out of Cherilyn's truck and I am like, umm Collette are my keys under your seat? She was like hold on I will look. So then we are looking everywhere in Cherilyn's truck and they are not there!!!!!! Ok so how am I supposed to get in/drive my car. So Collette drove me over to the store and I was able to open because my store keys are on a separate key chain! Thank god!!! So I get there and call Wilton to find a # for the aids walk and he calls me back with it then I call them then they call me back. They say I need to go down there. Hmm I am at work and don't have my car lol, which is at COC (without a permit hehe - well actually the spring 2004 is in there under my csun pass). So I call my mom and ask if she will go since she is in glendale and she was like well I'll call you after church. So she calls me and says Jim is going to Culver City and will go to the structure for me. No one was very optimistic about me finding my keys :(.

So I tell Jim where to go (luckily I remembered the streets because i dont really pay attention if I am not driving). So he goes there then I talked to him and he is like talk to this guy and ID your keys, so I do and they have them!!!!!!!!!! So Jim has them and I am going to get them back this week. I am so tired now but still have to attempt to read my art book...test tues.

Ok I think that is enough drama for now. TTYL!!!

Today was great. We had the regimental picnic, it was a lot of fun. Frin was a bitch lol as always but if she wasn't I wouldn't have anything to talk about!!! So we were arguing for like 20 mins until I just ignored her all together and then it was really nice. Let's see...First there was freeze dance, that was lots of fun. Danced with Laura, Shabooty, Delsi, hmm some others but cant really remember...Then memory, our group won of course, then "frin bingo" which our team won, then mummy wrap, then 3 legged race lol alyx, then water balloon fight, then bobbing for apples (soaked!!!!!!!!). And that was it. WTF where is troop A's game? Err we didn't get to play it. That sux!!!

So then we leave (me and alyx and lauras was following us b/c we are going to get icecream lol). So we are driving and are almost there and alyx and i are like y is laura in that other lane we need to turn right? lol she wasnt following us. So we started following her and i got out and was like what are we doing? she thought we were going to coldstones but we were really going to golden spoon lol. So we went it was so much fun and the 3 of us hung out for a while.

Then we left and I took alyx to her kewl house then I went to the store and worked until like 11:30 lol. We almost have the back wall completely painted! yay! we are going to finish it up at 9:30 tomorrow morning. So I just got home and am so tired I am going to go to bed! Lotsa luv to every1!!!!

I only have to work at V.S. on Thurs after school yay and no FCS 324 this week! hehe ya our 1hr 15 mins we meet a week. So I am stuck I think bc i might have to tutor so i guess i will just do hw from 10-3 well there is a meeting from 2-3 so i will do hw for 4 hrs but take lunch for once. ok i am tired this is dumb and not making sense.

I hope bigbee comes to our troop bc then we dont have to worry about whether or not marissa is in australia for the show! err we only have the exact # so it she is gone we only have 15. But if Bigbee comes it will be so nice bc she has a private horse!

Yesterday was one of the sadest days in my life

Dave's funeral. I told myself I was going to try and be strong lol. Well only cry a little bit, but its so hard when it is a family memeber you love, admire, and respect so much! When we first got to the church I saw my cousins Paul and Heather and they looked to have been crying, then we were talking and I started crying. Then my cousin Laura (Dave's daughter) came and gave me a hug and said "My dad always thought you were a special lady." OMG that made me sob! Then during the ceremony it was sad too :( I don't think I have ever cried that much. Not even at Curtis' (his son who died from alcoholism). Afterwards, as with all funerals in our family, we had a party.

OMG I am so behind on my school work! Need to do hw, need to do hw!!

BS Picnic this Sat. need to make up a game! Lol have candy tho, a huge bag from costco!

Ok I keep saying I am going to quit but I don't. Even yesterday and today I was saying I was going to fully quit tomorrow. But then I go to work and I just don't want to fully leave. So tomorrow what I think I am going to do is to tell Fran I am only going to work on Thursdays after school.

Losing my Religion

Something really interesting in my art class today. Thought I would share it with everyone. It connects Baroque art to modern music videos. Has anyone heard of the song Losing my Religion by REM? Well we watched the video in Art class today. A lot of the little scenes in the video are based on artwork by Carravaggio (1571-1610). I was going to put some pix on here of them but I cant find the one I want rite now. But anyway that was really kewl.

Getting ready for the parade! This saturday and then jat has a performance in agoura on sunday! I have to remember to get the hamburgers/hotdogs and buns lol! Better than having to get drinks and ice hehe FRIN! lol

Also we sold the store! Yes I have been waiting forever to gossip about this! HEHE well Lauras and Collette know because I told Lauras a few weeks ago and Collette today. That was fun carpooling ;) I am still going to work there tho. Tam is the owner now, she is so awesome! I love her and she is going to make it so successful!

Ok this sucks soooooooooooo freaking bad. This morning we get a call that my cousin Dave died!!! OMG I am so sad right now. He was in Iowa with his son-in-law Buck hunting and he had pains in his leg, they think it was a blood clot but dont know until the autopsy. He died in Bucks arms. :(

Ok I haven't updated for a while (well since Saturday). Today was actually really great. School was good, except I got a B on my BLAW exam, and i kinda wanted to get an A. Oh well maybe next time. Troop went well except like 3 people were sick (although 2 came to help and watch...what dedication!!! I love you guys lol) and Kevin didn't ride bc they are building a shed for drill masters. We played the boot game although you know I have to customize/personalize everything. So instead of each person taking one boot off and relaying down to get it against the other team I came up with this: There are 2 teams but you have to do it with a partner. You could do it at any gait but you had to stay dressed and there had to be 3 boots taken from each group of 2 (so one person had to give up both boots). They had a lot of fun i think, especially Donny - he couldn't find his boots so I told him just to take any 2 lol, which ended up causing confusion in the end but it was funny, he took like 2 of the biggest boots. Emily was the boot monitor and I told her to put sand in some of the boots...that was funny too. Only really bad part about tonite was my voody. He did not feel well at all. When we pulled him he just kept pawing at the ground and dancing around (way more than normal) so I had my sgt as Col and she said to use him anyway. He was antsy when we were riding but i kept moving most of the time. When i put him away he was laying down and thrashing a little bit so after i got him up the other Col came out and took him into the small arena and he was walking around in there. I hope he is ok though he is my BABY lol well so is Kam but its my Voody. Nothing can happen to him!!!! I will check tomorrow to see how he is.

Also tomorrow I have to do some finalizations for the parade, go to work (although I have Thursday off - yay the like 3 hrs I work on thurs, but we are going to be doing hw in our BH room.) and then I am going to our store to order jewelry from Soni (or get jewelry, he brings it I buy it lol) for the store. Lol Soni is like I like you to buy the jewelry more than your dad - lol because i always buy a lot more! lol but they give me stuff bc they like me for some reason lol. They are really nice. Soni and his wife (i dont know her name) but I dont know if she is coming, because she doesnt always come, but last time she did. They are traveling sales people. The I will do my hw for thurs lol blaw and read this tiny printed paper for art you can barely make out...FUN!!

Lol also something really funny. Tonite Frin was at BS and every1 was like we dont like her! Even my sweet little tpr marissa. Alyx and Kelsey went to get Dee and F was up there but didnt even say hi! How rude, you know them say hello! Alyx I hope you like your socks, stickers, and 'cool' bag lol. I had fun picking them out at one of my favorite stores hehe.

Just in case anyone was curious I have lost 5.7 pounds in the last three weeks, but i cant really give weight watchers the credit, because I have not been following the program at all! I think it was stress lol but hey I wore my BS belt on the tightest notch today lol! Havent done that for a while, that was so nice. I think I will be less stressed out from now on...i think.

Ok this ended up being kind of long so I better go now! TTYL!!!!

Soap operas revisited!!!!!

Ok so here is what is going on right now (sorry to bore everyone with my last post but i think it was helpful to me lol (err well the wed post not the thurs post).

So yesterday (friday) i kinda quit my medical billing job, although not officially. She said to think about it over the weekend. She said i could work 0 hrs or 40 hrs whatever i wanted. So i was so happy and yesterday the stress started to go away. But then today it is kinda crazy again. Lol there is always something. It never goes away. I mean not everything is bad.

I dont know if i am really going to quit fully bc i dont know what i would do with my spare time. I had a little bit of time today and i was going to take my econ test (the teacher finally emailed me!) but i was so tired i didnt want to do anything). So i am thinking now if i had too much time off i wouldnt have anything to do and then i would be lazy and ya...i know i woudlnt want to do anything. I used to do that before i worked. So i am thinking maybe I will work on thurs and fri. For now.

Vincenzos was fun today even though jacqueline and cody dumped the whole pizza on the floor...and they are so roudy but it was a lot of fun. Sorry ryan u had to clean up our huge mess. It was fun tho! My butt hurts so bad from JAT today, I am so out of JAT shape lol. It was kewl getting to ride in tho.

Also I am friends again (or he is friends again w/me) with my Adnny :) or A-day-nay-nay-yay ;) finally!!!!

But now theres other drama.... :(

Nothing's normal anymore

I don't know what is going on with me. I just know that I have been stressed and everything is making me upset! Nothing is ever normal with me anymore. I just know that I have no time and the things that used to be really fun aren't. And it seems like other people are changing, but that just might be my observation. It almost seems that I have lost motivation to do anything except go to school. And I have never been one who really really loves school. I just always went because I had to. I guess things are changing now that I am in a university and that I might actually be able to accomplish something. I just know that right now everything is spinning around in my head and that everything is going on all of the time I don't even have time to think about anything, sleep in, or sit on my ass doing nothing for even a minute. But I think tomorrow things are going to change a little, I am supposed to give notice on one of my jobs. My mom and I have been talking about it the last few days and she has convinced me. Of course I was feeling this way, she only helped me with my decision.

Something really sad. Although I haven't seen this girl for a really long time, there was a fatality on Sierra Hwy the other day and the girl who died was in my troop back in the day. It is so sad she was only like ten but she was so nice and I always have a connection with my teammates, even if she wasn't in troop for the longest time or for a while. It is still sad, very sad, depressing. :(

I took it off! Yay my first full day off since I started school a month ago...well I guess I didn't go to school/work on labor day either but hello that was labor day lol. Anyway I took if off because I was supposed to have an online econ test today and then an art and business law test tomorrow. Well the online test, well isnt where it is supposed to be so cant really take it. I am really ready for my blaw test and sorta ready for my art test (need to re-read notes again lol). In case you wanted to know a little bit about business law, this is what our test is about (lets see if I can type all of this out from memory lol):

Principal-agent relationships:
Agency: a two party relationship in which one party acts on behalf (or to benefit) the other and is under the others control or right to control.

In order to figure out if you have an independent contractor relationship or an agency relationship, apply the following rules from the Second Restatement of Agency:
1. Whether the master has significant control over the details;
2. Whether the employee is in a distinct occupation or business;
3. Whether or not the work is generally done under the supervision of an employer or specialist;
4. Whether skill is required;
5. Who supplies the instruments, materials and place of work;
6. How long the person is employed for;
7. How the person is paid;
8. Whether or not it is typical work of the employer;
9. Whether or not the parties think they have an agency relationship;
10. Whether or not the principal is in business.
Only the factor of the degree of control needs to be met.

Ok so if you figure out that the person is an agent then you can use the doctrine of respondeat superior.
Respondeat superior is: liability without fault for torts (except fraud) committed by agents or employees while acting within the scope of employment.
So now "acting within the scope of employment" needs to be defined.
An employee is acting within the scope of his/her employment if:
1. It was the kind of work he was hired to perform;
2. It was in the authorized location and time
3. It was motivated in part to benefit the employer
All of the factors must be met. Respondeat superior is a doctrine of indirect liability.

However, if the above factors are not met, the principal can still be sued under the doctrine of direct liablitity. The following things must be satisfied:
1. The agent was given improper or unclear instructions;
2. Failing to enforce or make regulations;
3. Hiring of an unsuitable agent;
4. Failing to discharge an unsuitable agent;
5. Providing improper tools, instruments or materials;
6. Improperly supervising the employee
Not all of the factors need to be met

There is one more thing.
Regarding independent contractors, principals are generally not responsible for their actions, however there are always a few exceptions. They include:
1. Retaining an incompetent independent contractor;
2. An independen contractors failure to perform a nondelegable duty;
3. An independent contrators failure to take special precautions when performing highly or inherently dangerous work.

Ok i think that is all. Doesnt it sound like fun??? Lol.

Sorry to bore everyone but i have been studying all day so i cant think of anything else to type lol. I suppose the art information would have been more interesting to more people tho...o well its my journal hehe! jk i'm not trying to be mean my brain is just tired from THINKING all freaking day lol :)

Omg it seems like there is no time. I don't know what my problem is, but I can barely even eat which is abnormal for me. At least it should help me out at weighin tomorrow (which reminds me i better get my stuff together for that because I will go right after school). Luckily I don't work tomorrow or Tuesday! I hope troop goes well Tuesday - Jackie and Sherise came up with the most awesome idea and Jackie made up the A Bucks today so it will be so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited I can't wait! Ok I got to go to bed because I have to wake up at 6 AM manana!

Everyone please ignore my last post. I have had a day to think and talk. It's okay now, it was just how I was feeling at the moment when I updated. Any one know who Kenny Wayne Shepard is? The song sounds familiar but don't know from where, possibly TV. Anyway Lauras and I saw them today filming at Vasquez Rocks...I guess we were spying twice tonite! LOL!!!

Have you ever wanted something to be so perfectly one way, an ideal that you feel you have nearly attained, yet you realize you were never even close. Tonight I was stabbed in the heart, although not intentionally, but the wound still stings. For ten years I have involved myself in the thing I love most in life. Yet tonight it did not feel the same at all. There wasn't the team companionship and closeness that had once prevailed. I feel almost as if it is me who has messed everything up, because I am the one who is supposed to be in charge. In my head, we are supposed to be perfect. We are supposed to have fun working together and riding, because it is what we love to do. But most everybody seems disinterested, or discouraged as I am now finding myself. I would never think I would say such a thing, but a minor depression has overcome me tonight. I don't know how to explain it, and I don't even know if I can. I just know it's not right; it's not the way it is supposed to be. I guess signs of tonight were foreshadowed about a month or so ago, but I thought those had passed and we were all on the same level. But this is just so upsetting I really don't know how to take it.

To the normal person, this is probably no big deal, but to me it is a part of me, that is slowly dying if what is happening is true. I know I have to do something, or it will never be the same. Over the years a lot of people have come and gone, some were beloved, others were not. But now I just don't know. It is my troop, my responsibility, my kids. I am supposed to keep everything together yet everything is falling apart. Tonight one of my most beloved riders tells me she is discouraged and is trying to overcome it, but will ultimately quit if she cannot. She told me about how discouraged she gets and cries after until one in the morning. It is not supposed to be that way, not at all. I am feeling her pain now, and I don't know how to take it. All I know is I have to do something and follow my gut and my heart with what I know will be best. But, I am not sure exactly what that is.

It's just not the same and I don't know how to fix it. I thought I did, I thought I knew what I was doing, but it is all wrong. I thought I could get the beginners "spark" rejuvinated but it now seems less tangible. I just don't know what to do. And this is going to be eating away at me until I come up with it or talk to someone - who I am going to call and hopefully meet with tomorrow. She will be able to give me guidance.

Anyway, I don't want anyone getting discouraged by my morbid story. This is just how I am feeling at this very moment, like I am going to break down and cry. I am still in a state of shock, the reality setting in, but not completely.

Today was exhausting. I met with Vera and Collette to work on our finance homework, we spent just about 5 hours on one problem today. It took forever and we were even using excel. We still have another problem to do before next Monday. I am tired and have a headache :( so I will make this short; although I just took some ibprofeun and am feeling better - I swear taking advil is psychological. Anyway nothing too exciting today.
